The mountain rope matches the mountain rope slip collars we are required to use. I like the metal clamps that hold the handle loop in place b/c it gives you a little something to grip if the dog lunges. I had a 95 lb Malamute lunge for a Dachshund today and the lead held, I had a tight grip the whole time, and it did not cut or burn my hands. These are great training leads for larger/stronger dogs!
